  • An antibody against a protein is very useful reagent in the identification and analysis of that particular protein. Some proteins are extremly tough to express and purify and thus making antibody against those are not possible. The project will be to find out patches of peptide sequence/s ( 14-20 amino acids long) which are immunogenic for that kind of proteins using some bioinformatics tools. Next, the peptide will synthesized and injected to Rats to validate the immunogenic response against that peptide.

  • After the space program, perhaps geosciences is most bit generating discipline on earth. Right from deep inside the earth to planetary exploration, geoscientist are generating a large amount of data using smart sensors. One good example is the Oil and Gas exploration and development program that is slowly steering towards smart field completions and operations. Unfortunately, most of this data is never looked at for better optimization of the resource utilization. Be it drilling activities, production or characterization of reservoir, every domain is rich with data that needs to be looked at for making smart and economic decision in the extremely volatile nature of this business. Almost every company is committed to experiment with Data Science and Analytic tools to make good sense of the data. In geosciences, we would like to train our algorithms to be smart enough to flash the missing input and lookout/suggest the operator for required files to complete the pre-determined workflows. This internship will involve use of Java, Python and R and understanding of statistical tools with some geoscience insights to make independent/dependent software modules to help predictions in exploration and development. Whereas you will bring the coding strength on the table, i will provide me insights on the subject.
